That's a great write up Ryan! Thanks for contributing it to mud. We need more of that.

We will have one last wrenching session next Sunday, the more people the better, I for one will have a ton of things to do to the truck.

If you guys didn't get an email for whatever reason about the GoPro deal send me a PM by tomorrow morning to get in on this round.

So I took a crack at tuning my radio last night and got some advice from other forums members in my how-to thread linked above. If anyone else is a complete novice to CB radios in general like I am it might be a good read as Mtbcoach and 1911 did a great job of answering my questions. I feel like I have the radio dialed in pretty well now and I'm excited to use it on the trail!

Big thanks to James, Jeff and Matt for all of your help yesterday. Worked on the truck from 8:30am to ~2:00am this morning. The coffee never tasted so good today.

Got a lot taken care of.

  • Plasti-Diped the front grille
  • Painted battery box for new Die-Hard Platinum 31M, Went to sears to purchase the battery and they were closed.
  • Installed new ToyOutfitters Upper and Lower Control Arms
  • Installed the Fox Rear piggybacks
  • Installed the Slee Front Remote Res
  • Diagnosed that I have an issue with the stearing rack
  • Started installing the Titan TW12 winch and found that there is not room for the solenoid box, will need to think through a good mount for under the hood.
  • Started installing the Rhino Rack and found that the parts supplied are incorrect for my truck.
On Matt's Truck

  • Installed extended brake lines
  • Installed new gas tank skid.
Overall a very successful day and the truck is going to make it to Moab It will be a little incomplete and we are not quite sure where we will store the stuff that was going on the rack but we will make it none the less.
