Pre-79 FJ40 fuel tank cushion

Looking for a pic or description of the fuel tank cushions that are positioned in between the fuel tank and the tub. This is a discontinued part. I need to get a handle on the thickness of these-I will be replacing with closed cell foam.

The felt on mine was about 1/2" thick. There were 2 strips that ran from front to back approximately under the metal securing straps. Mine were shot so I replaced with a bike innertube cut to length. There are other ideas in the link I posted above.

I just did this last fall and I used some dense closed cell foam tape. Got a roll from Home Depot. Put a few strips in the little groves down there and one or two around the sloped part. Seems to work perfect for me, felt secure like it won't rattle around at all either. good luck
