I wanted to pass on a good opportunity for those who want to get a Powertank. I've had one for 2 years and love having it even though I have an ARB compressor also.

The group buy is "hosted" by Iron Pig and being offered through the FJBruisers, a mid-atlantic FJ Cruiser group.

If you or anyone down your way are interested in a 10lb Powertank Package, the FJ Bruisers and Iron Pig Offroad have a group buy in progress that has the best pricing that I've ever seen.

Its all being handled through Iron Pig Offroad in Fredericksburg, VA.

All you have to do is mention FJ Bruisers PowerTank Group Buy when you call the Iron Pig to get the deal.

All the info is in the link above.

If you're not interested, please forward on to anyone you know that might be.

If you have any questions, let me know and I'll put you in touch with the person who contacted me about it. In the referenced thread it posts the prices for the group buy. When I got mine, I did the "B" option and it has worked out nicely...

So I guess package 'A' comes with the regulator, cord and coupler but no boot?

The description was kinda vague.

Also - I know you guys have a thread on here about fill up price and is typically 30 bucs or so correct??

Yes, package A is the "base", that's it. I opted for package B to get the boot, mount and other stuff to it was a simple "plug and play" for me.

Yes, it appears that $30 is the going price for a fill up around here, you may have another source in your neck of the woods though...

I haven't done much research on these but I imagine you can run air tools off of this too?

Also, how many tire fill-ups do you usually get on one tank?

This would definitely be nice to have.

Yes, you can run air tool off one of these. Its one of the reasons why getting one with the "high flow" regulator is a good idea as compared to putting one together w/parts from Lowes/Home Depot/welding supply stores.

Fill ups depend on tire size and how low you deflate. I've only filled my tank twice since I've owned it and I can't count how many times I've deflated/filled using it. Typically, I don't refill to my "normal" road pressure (45 psi), just get them back to 32-35 psi or so until I can get back to a compressor and top them off.

If you go to the Powertank website, they offer some estimate fill ups per 10 lb tank. The "guestimate" for me is 16-20, 20 psi fill up (from 15 - 35 psi) with the 10 lb tank...

I have one and it was 26 bucks to fill it last summer I believe at Nat'l welders. It was very nice to have when I was on the clear other side of Tellico from where I needed to leave from last summer at Over the Mountain Tour. It can def run air tools, some use it to run air lockers and it fills the tires up in no time at all. Def nice to have.

did anyone get in on the group buy, i havnt received mine yet
