I remember these. They came up in a 40 section thread discussing bolts in frames vs rivets in frames. Rivets allow the frames to flex a few inches more.
Think those trucks had a tendancy to flop. Also vaguely remember that you can pin the frame so it acts more rigid.
Very cool. I'd drive one.

there's a power wagon that body style in Manassas. Been sitting at a shop for years and the guy who owns it does not want to part with it. He keep saying he's going to restore it. It's sad, you can see that it is slowly going downhill. I've tried to get the owner of the shop too leave the gate open and let it disapear one night.

There's another that is fully restored sitting in Merrifield. It's almost identical, but with red fenders and military tires....surrounded by a dried pool of drool and my fingerprints all over it.

Where in Merrifield? I've never seen that one.

There used to be a Command car in Fairfax Circle and another one off of Blake Ln.

Years ago, there was a small herd of Power Wagons at the corner of Centreville Rd and 50.

My friend's MOM had one in high school. She and I and her mom would take it on joy rides. That thing would thow some sod up in the air with the directional tire treads.
