I have an 06 LC with the power tilt steering wheel, and recently had to replace the motor in it. I don't have any need to move the steering wheel once I have it set, so the only wear and tear on the tilt/telescopic motor is when it moves up and away and then back into position when I remove and insert the key.
In the owners manual, it says, "This feature [i.e., it automatically tilting up and away] can be set inoperative. Ask your Toyota dealer."
I would like to render that feature inoperative but was hoping someone here could tell me how without me having to take it to the dealer. Thanks!
