I need a new one, bigger one, prepping for hydro assist. May end up with a new pump too, but that's another discussion/decision...

Currently, my pump uses an external, so plumbing is easy.

Choices are:

PSC SR110 for $117

Howe 1010 for $150

Appleton for $129

Of the three, I'm leaning towards the Appleton because of the finned tank for better cooling, and towards the PSC because of the price.

Anyone got experience/opinions on these? I know SG (and most of the Badlands gang) has good luck with the Howe stuff, but their price (relative to the others) seems a bit much...

Boneyard, almost all newer cars are using the external, Crown Vic's and Astro Vans both have a nice one, as long as you run an external cooler, you should be fine.
There are 2 40's in LSLC running ram assist and one full hydro with the stock Saginaw, and no reserve.

I've got a external "boneyard" in there now...wanna add the filtration tho, and expand the size a fair amount. Used to have an inline filter, but the spin-jobs in these would be perfect.

HHHMMM and you never struck me as Anal Retentive 'til now..... :flipoff2: :flipoff2:

my vote is for appleton, i like the filter. the howe is more because it got the bling!

Woody,

I drive an 04 Chevy Kodiak (c4500) for a living (wrecker). Its got a fairly large, clear!, reservior with a filter inside. You might check your Chevy dealer. I'm not sure about hookups, but I think the price is right in your range. I was gonna get one for mine, but my budget doesn't go beyond the boneyard.

Oh, and ours is an 8.1L, not sure if the diesels have 'em.

Woody,

I go with Appleton one. This is the same on Station (on POR) uses for his setup.
I like the finned housing better than the Howe setup. You can see my setup at
CM 04.
