Im assuming its the same as other landcruisers.

After checking there is no play in any other parts of the steering or wheel bearings(this is important).
Put one wheel gainst a kurb and rock the wheel while looking for slop in the joints.

Proceed as follows

Get the front wheels straight ahead.

Loosen the lock nut
Turn the adjusting screw clockwise to tighten in SMALL INCREMENTS ,each time checking the freeplay.
Do not over adjust(very important).
(I found it better to adjust while someone who understands what your doing rocks the wheel 120 degrees)

When you have it as good as you can get it,turn the wheel one full turn in both directions, check again and adjust if necessary.
There should be no binding
The wheel should have no more than 40mm freeplay .
Then hold the adjusting screw and tighten the lock nut.

I did my 73 series when I first got it and it stayed perfect for 7 years

thanks for the info gonna try it in the morning:D

Repeat 100 times before bed.

small increments small increments small increments small increments small increments small increments
small increments small increments small increments ......
