Power Steering Lines (1 Viewer)

Searched but can't find anything.

When my '08 200 was in the shop yesterday the mechanic said my power steering lines are leaking. Anyone else had this happen yet?

Anyone have a part number?

I understand they come as a set, maybe kinda connected together?

I know this is of no help, but my '08, with 103k on the clock is dry. I'd clean the entire power steering system in the engine bay and watch it for a couple of weeks; mechanics get paid to change parts.

Which line? If it is a soft rubber hose with a little clamp on the ends, that would be thr return line, and that is a 20 minute job as it is just a regular fluid safe vacuum line. And most likely it is a return line, because the other line is under pressure, and would be shooting with some good pressure all around the engine bay.

Find the leak, get a pan under the hose, replace hose, fill with AFT, done. Only tools needed would be a pair of pliers.

44348 is relatively inexpensive.

44402 (w/cooler): PRICEY
44410 (high pressure line): PRICEY

I'd find out exactly what is leaking.

I had leaks too, but I am not exactly sure where the leak was, but it doesn't matter now that they are replacing the rack & pinion... so all leaks should be taken care of!

Make sure they use new high pressure gaskets at the banjo fittings or it's gonna be leaking in less than 5K Miles.
