Power Steering gurus help required LJ / KZJ 7* series

Hi All
Need some help re power steering failure in my mates winch truck.
We have trashed 3 pumps. We were thinking that the pump wasn't sized correctly to the Lj / KZJ steering box. (hybrid chassis / engine GM V6 3.8 Buick I think is called)
But i am thinking the steering box is causing the pump to fail...

so the question is, what in the steering box could cause the pump to fail?
I have seen how they work...

We have probably answered our own question but before we pull it.... Would be good to see if anyone else has experienced similar issues.

The pump/steering box combo should work fine together Calvin, the pump on the LT1 chevy engine in my 40 series is identical to the commy V6 pumps you are using (except my pump turns in the opposite direction) and is running a 70 series steering box so maybe worth trying another steering box on your winch truck to see if that solves the problem, I aren't running any cooler on my lines on mine its straight from the pump to the box and back, I've got quite light steering it works well and doesn't fade out at low revs or give any other problems
