Im looking at doing a diesel conversion in the near future using a non toyota engine. What Im trying to find out right now is how did Toyota rate the power of their engines? At the brake or at the crank?

I saw a 40 with an isuzu diesle in it a few years back at Rubithon. The install was beautiful. Looked like it was made for the cruiser.

Well the two engines I am looking at are rated at the wheels. Im just wanting to know if Toyota in 77 rated at the wheel or at the crankshaft.
I think you will find your answer much faster posting in the 40/55 tech section. Landpimp or Poser or one of those guys who has ridiculous cruiser knowledge in their head will see it faster and let you know.

I remembered Morgan had some photo's of the dealership flyers. So I looked them up and they show that its bhp. So now we know.
