I noticed my power mirror switch was not lit at night a few days ago and I pulled it out and noticed the bulb was missing. Does anyone know the size of the light bulb that fits into it?

Did you find a bulb for this? I had my parts guy look it up today (i am an assistant service manager at a toyota dealer), his computer did not show a bulb for that switch. I looked at mine and no bulb is there. Have you checked to see if voltage is found on the silver metal circle area that you want to put the bulb in?

Other parts of the world get it but not N. America. I'm guessing the cap changes the color of the bulb. Not sure what color it is supposed to be. Both parts are shared with other Toyotas/Lexus's's's

Bad news. I put the bulb in and it lights up but the light doesn't transmit to the front side of the switch. In other words no illumination to see on the front of the switch. I took the switch apart and I see there is no way for the light to get through the printed circuit board. What a let down. I guess the non north American cruisers get a different switch. Chime in if anyone knows the answer here. Thanks
I have the same problem - bulb lights up, but can see it light up the switch.
Agreed.....its a switch that I use the least. With the exception of the D light in the dash and the Center Diff Lock button, all my switches light up, so i am not going to mess around!There's nothing you can do except try to swap in an LX mirror switch. Is it worth the trouble? I'd say not.
I just found out the same thing on my Aussie 2003 UZJ100 GXL.
Noticed the lack of a bulb when I was putting some spotlight switches in the blank. Sourced a bulb. Works when I put it in... but switch not lit up through the front.
So I Google it... find this thread. Bugger. Maybe I'll source an LX switch. What's the smaller button on the right of that LX switch? Mirror fold?
