Power fold mirror problem

I have a -06 100-series where the drivers side mirror tries to fold out every time I start it, even though it's already folded out. It usually continues to try to fold out the mirror for 20 seconds and then stops but lately sometimes it hasn't stopped until I have folded the mirror forward.

Has anyone had the same problem?

This is just a guess but your switch may be sticking. When you try fold them in do both fold ?

When I turn the ignition the electric motors in the drivers side mirror starts and you hear this clicking sound of the mirror trying to fold out although it's already out. I never fold in the mirrors except for when I use a car wash.

Both mirrors fold in as they should and they also fold out as they should but in the drivers side mirror the electric motors doesn't stop when the mirror is folded out.

Are you sure it's not the motor of the mirror trying to tilt the mirror? Try putting the selector switch of the mirror adjuster in the middle and see what happens.

It's not the tilt function as when I fold the mirror forward to stop the motor I can feel how the fold motor wants to move the mirror.
