power brakes shut down randomly

i have 99 land cruiser... power brakes stop working randomly and then comes back on by itself... can anyone please help me tht what problem cud be how much wud it cost me n can i do it myself to save some money?

that is what i was fearing ... do you have any idea how expensive this stuff can be? is there any workaround?

I recommend not trying a "smart" fix for the booster. It is an essential safety device. 13 years old - done it's job.

If anything - look if the brushes are worn out, if it is otherwise in good shape. Would probably need brass-brushes - being low voltage and high power.
