I have a fj55 and is supper prone to rust. My plan was to sandblast and then epoxy prime it. It was suggested to me to instead get it powder coated.
Thoughts?

Went to the powder coated and he suggested an epoxy powder coat primer. All I have ever heard of is epoxy prime and powder coating. Are there different types of powder coating?

Here are a few pics of my 40 I have been Powder coating . As long as you do not have body work it turns out great. This is my Crawler so a few body imperfections does not really bother me that much . If I was doing a resto I would paint so you could get the body perfect .

If you are thinking Powder Coat before paint ? Paint will not stick to powder coat . You would have to sand the PC before you paint it

I definitely will want to paint, and I have some bondo work that I need to do.
I was told that bondo will hold on PC if it was scuffed with 80 grit first.

The idea of sanding down the whole car after PC to then do bondo and paint does not seem the best strategy.
