Ok guys...I gotta new sample box in today and I would just like to share the samples.
First is the black wrinkle:

Next is the glossy black with a top coat of amethyst clear. I thought this looked pretty cool...

Hell yeah! Dude, not only are you doing good work, but you're around the corner from me! I'm in blacksburg :D

Shoot me a PM on doing my 5 80-series wheels in semi-gloss black.

Might have some other work for ya soon too w/ my mini-truck build getting going again.

Sorry Jeremy - haven't forgotten. Still need my 80 and 100 wheels done. Just trying to figure the time / distance thing...

Its ok....whenever you are ready just let me know! I've been doing a few rims here and there and I am sure it would take me 2 days to do them. I would shoot for one but this small oven takes a long time to get the rims up to temp. Thats the biggest wait.

I just need to figure out when I can get up that way to drop a set of 5 off for a few days, come to pick them up and drop off the other set...

Thats fine...that way I'm not in too much a rush and screw something up. If its bound to happen...it will happen to me! Thanks for getting back with me though.....

*EDIT* Better yet, if you can bring all 10 up at once then I can do them if you are gonna be a few days to pick them up. Would be easier on the time and gas spent...

To help you out, I second the Pewter and Grey colors, but they are a *little* non-standard.

I don't know how you would figure out the exact color for powder, but CCoT offers paint that supposedly matches. I don't know if anyone out there has found something else that matches so you can try to cross reference it.
If you could come up with a pretty close match, you might be doing something no one else is... (everyone, is anyone coating a match for these colors?)

Bumper Pewter Color

Wheel grey

Also, I, and I think many others aren't as into the shiny stuff as much as the semi-gloss. This tends to be a no-chrome crowd :D Not always, but keep it in mind.

and... BTW... you WOULD have to be at the OTHER end of Virginia, wouldn't you

I could match that...All I gotta do is shoot a sample panel of that paint and send it off to them. They formulate up some powder and send it to me.

Yeh I bought some glossy clear and matte clear just to use the glossy for cycle and show car stuff.

heh...sorry dude...just means you can get a bunch of things together and take a road trip! I'll make sure you are fed and watered here

How close are you to Roanoke? Do you know anyone in your area who can widen a set of 15" steel rims?

I will be out there next week and can bring my rims out to you. Im looking to get a medium gray coat as well as blasting.

Thanks!

Rob
