I have a black LC. I am building a rear bumper and sliders and I purchased a BIOR front bumper that is coming in raw metal. I want to powder coat everything dark toyota grey. Considering doing my wheels also and the plastic trim piece that runs down the side of the truck. Can they color match powder coat? Has anyone done this (pics if so please)? Do you know the paint color code? Will that even help with powder coat?

Thanks

I just ordered a few spray cans from paint scratch. I plan to paint my sliders dark grey, and repaint my side trim as well. No powder coat here. Time will tell if I've made the right choice.

Not sure of the official definition of "Toyota grey", but when I had my wheels powder coated, I picked an off the shelf color that seemed like a close enough match to the grey of the OEM bumpers and the plastic trim down the side.

I recall there being an option to color match the powder coat, but I didn't want to pay more and after you add some dust and dirt, the color changes anyway.

As @TwiceWithHair suggests, you may have an easier time picking whatever powder coat color for your bumpers, then paint the trim to match those. There are a few good write ups somewhere on how to do that well and finding paint to match powder coat should be cheaper than the other way around, and at minimum easier.

I'm starting to think I might be better off with rattle cans. Cheaper and easier to touch up. I'm just not to good at taking time to do a really good job with paint. I'm better with raw materials! Any body have rattle can suggestions?
