Posting issues

i've had 4 reports today from members that they either cannot enter text into the reply box, or they enter text and nothing happens. We are chasing down what the issue might be.

Odd that is happening to only a handful of members, no consistency.

update: This is a repeat of an issue we had previously...search overloads during the indexing process, and since each post is indexed immediately, the overload prevents the post or thread to be created.

Should be corrected now, and we will again attempt to find a permanent cure.

Yep. I've just hit "post reply" three times on a thread in the 40-series forum (about weatherstrip on an Aus BJ42) and so far my post hasn't even been entered there.

No doubt I'll see that I've triple-posted next time I visit.

PS. There is also too much delay in other features... For instance putting the smilie in this post just took TWO clicks on the button that gets smilie choices to appear (probably because I lost patience waiting for the first click to do its job).
