This sentence in the 3rd paragraph.

" We will cut customs duties on European cars coming into Canada".

This could be the ever hopeful answer to maybe getting that cool diesel, LH Drive! Land Cruiser.

I don't trust politicians much, this might be a new car only thing. Maybe not. Anyhow, I see it as a step in the right direction. I know it's expensive to consider bringing a truck over, but maybe it will stop the crushing of 70 series and TDI Defenders of the past.
 
Watch the fine print. Likely limited to new cars only!
 
I read that as there cutting the barriers of trade. So each side will cut the tariffs they put on goods being exchanged. It a pure financial move only. There is still commerce between Canada and Europe now, just at a higher cost currently.

I didn't think this address anything other than cars currently coming in from europe will be less expensive.
