Possible parting of FJ60

Okay guys my blue 1985 FJ-60 might get parted out. My dad isn't sure if he wants to fix the headgasket(or the head if that is the problem) and then have someone weld up the frame to make a good hunting rig or not.

So I am going to weigh my options on parting it out. If I can get enough interest off of parting it out to help fund some kind of top for my 40 then I might go that route.

A quick list of "good" parts. I know I need prices but this is more of a feeler............if I have to name prices I will do it later.

Tranny seems strong.
Transfer is strong.
Leaf springs aren't saggy and might be perfect for someone looking for a set for SOA.
I have all the glass and it is all good(rear defrost works)
Front wiper motors and arms

For the exterior shots look at the pictures in my sigline under SPEEDY...............any part is avail. and if there is enough interest I might just part out "CHOP TOP" I started.

no the chop top is the silver one that was part of the trade I got in return for my mini pick up......I was saying if enough people want parts and the Chop top has them, after the blue one's parts are sold, claimed then I might just part it out too.

I'd be interested in the power steering gearbox, if it would fit my 9/84 FJ60. I need to do a little research to find out what year the gearbox's changed.

seems according to $OR that they sell the gearboxes that fit 8/81 to 4/85 FJ60s and then one that fits 4/85 to 8/87.

don't know if this helps though............not exactly sure of the Manu date......I could give me dad a call sometime though.

have you seen the rear quarter panels?? They aren't in the greatest shape.

i need the rear inner cargo hatch panels, from the looks of it in the photos the dash cap looks good, if no cracks i will take it, are the clearance lights and assy front and rear fenders operable?, if so i would like those as well

Cut the lower rear rocker panel on the rear quarter panels and weld a flat plate in there. Many have done it.

Okay guys here are some pictures of things that you might want to know about. The truck is back at my dads place so the pictures in my photobucket are really all I have right now.

Right rear quarter: As you can see it is rusty.

As far as i can remember the dash has no cracks although it does have the spot you can see in the picture cut out for a radio, which would be fine if you wanted to put a CD head unit back in its place.

The rear cargo hatch panels are in decent shape. Shoot me a PM if you want.

The front marker lights on the fenders are already spoken for. But all the other lights work and are available.

The passenger seat is in really good shape and the drivers side has the typical rips, but the mechanicals on both seat work really good.

The rear seat is in near perfect shape except for the rear of the seat where the cargo lining goes up the back.

I have a guy wanting the a Trannsmission and Transfer(after he makes sure his needs replaced) but if someone wants a tranny/transfer I have another FJ-60 that might actually be on the chopping block also.

The PS gearbox is still availible and it is a post 4/85 manu. date. The PS system actually worked really good and only leaked a bit of fluid.

I have a Jacob's Mileage Master Ignition coil that I am leaning towards keeping although if someone wants it I can probably be persuaded.

The leaf springs are NOT saggy and have a good amount of flex to them.

okay I remembered I had a whole box full of parts that I won't use anymore from my chop top. I took them outside and took pictures of all of them. I also decided that I was going to part the chop top. Those of you that want parts off of my blue FJ-60 I will try and get to it very soon........motoman you DO have PM.

The skinny on the chop top..........the only good body panel is the hood. The grill is stock and is actually in good shape. The parts I took off are all in decent shape and some are in great shape. Again I hate to ask to much and keep some cruiserheads from getting the parts they need......make me an offer via email or PM(I am not going to turn this into a bidding war via PM or email).

Here are a couple pictures that "third coast cruisers" asked for. Anyone else wanna see pictures of something just ask. I can take pictures of this one as it sits right outside my apartment.

about prices, I am not trying to make a fortune here I am just trying to put a sizeable dent into some kind of top for my 40.

The only price values I can easily find(read: not searching hours on MUD) are on $or. Their prices seem high. I don't expect their prices for my stuff. But I would like a decent percentage(not 5% or 10%)of their prices. I apologize for not being any more clear on the price issue. Is this unreasonable? If it is just let me know.
