possible New committee member position

During yesterdays meeting, I was thinking about Spencers Facebook, youtube stuff, IH8MUD, website traffic hits, Tee Shirt sales and thought the club should have some type of designated Web site- facilitator - Internet type position.

Personally I'm semi anti-social and I don't care much about twitter, twerking, facebook or any social media junk but it appears that a majority of all young people do, alwalys phone in one hand looking down. My daughters game when they all go out is they stack all the phones and the first one to touch thier phone pays. So maybe a better focused aproach might bridge more of the gap.

Hi Pete, I'm not sure what you're suggesting. I thought Spencer was going to work on something within his RockCrawlers page to incorporate more of PMC. I'm not exactly sure what he had in mind, perhaps our own folder similar to the Member's Rigs section offered here on Mud. It all comes down to participation whether it's online or on the ground. Spencer is the man in our club to be our social media director I believe. A Pacific Mountain Cruiser facebook page might have a surprising effect on Swapmeet attendance. Certainly worth giving it a try.

Santa rosa 4x4's has a web master and he takes care of the club website, Facebook page and forum. He reports at every meeting on whats going on and we have a designated person to go to.
