possible 80 series purchase (1 Viewer)

Hey guys,

I have the chance to purchase a 1991 80 series with 194,000 miles.

Do you know of anything that I should keep an eye out for? and pros/cons of it. I know it has the slower but more reliable 3FE.

All my knowledge is on early FJ40s so I am a complete noob when it comes to 80 series. If it was in fair conditon, what would you pay for it?

Nice. I have a 1994 for sale, 314k miles. I’m 4th owner. I bought for my son to drive thru high school, but he’d always wanted a Mustang. For his senior year, we bought him one... lots of variables to price: documented engine repairs, leaks, rust, dents, interior smell / condition, etc.

Rust and normal function of things like windows, lights, etc. If 4lo has never been engaged the linkage could be frozen so make sure it moves.

Well I have good news. I have purchased the 80 series for $2400. I think that is a fair price. It needs some work, the clear is fading, the spedo does not work. Some of the trim needs a little TLC. But she drives great and is mechanically sound.
