Hey guys, I posted this in the FixOrRepairDaily section but thought I would ask you. My 2000 Ranger has the O/D light flashing so I go to get codes read. My OBD connector is not getting power so I check the fuse and it is not there. I replace the fuse and go back to get codes read, and guess what, still no power to the connector. :bang: Any suggestions other than torch the damn thing?

go get a load of dirt, park it in the front yard, let Lydia plant some flowers in it and call it done?

sorry wish I could help. Is there an alternate way to read the codes?

Too much work, I prefer arson!

No alternate way that I know of. And this friggin Haynes manual I have is not a bit of help.. :censor:

Make sure the fuse did not blow ?

Just a thought. Might be why there was no fuse in it if it was blowing them. If that is the case then there is a ground in a line somewhere. But, then again i really know nothing about Fords.

is this the same one that was stolen?

The fuse is still good. I might have to break down and take it to a Ferd dealer.

Yes Parker, the same one. I wish now it was never recovered. My fault though, shoulda bought a Tacoma but was too cheap. Live and learn.

I loved my Ranger, I never had any issues with mine. But it was a bone stock work truck. White exterior extended cab, plastic floor cover, cloth seats, manual windows, and it was a 2002. Had to get rid of it because it didn't have rear seats nor jump seats...

I loved my Ranger too, for about 1 month, then the problems started.

First was a sporadic miss that new plugs, wires, and 2 coils didn't fix. The first coil seem to work for about 2 weeks and since it was a lifetime warranty, we tried another one. Think we got that fixed by putting a cam shaft sensor on but it will occasionally still miss on me. The damn thing is haunted!
Now the O/D light flashing after the tranny gets warm.

Darin, I think you are right. I'll take it back to my local :wrench:er and see what he can do.

you should shoot it a few times just for fun.

ok, just shoot it once, and dont talk about it, except in certain company!

Mine was being in the wrong place wrong time or

Right place wrong time. At least i thought it was the right place, but alas i found out it wasnt the place for me, if you know what i mean.
