Selling for $28,000. A beautifully refurbished and maintained 1985 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ60 with over $25,000 worth of restoration work completed over the past several years, including a new OEM five-speed manual transmission and clutch, new Old Man Emu suspension system (including steering dampener and shocks), new carburetor, new cooling system, new alternator and battery, fully refurbished brakes (front and back, including e-brake), and new 4x4 Labs front and rear bumper system. Other projects include a fully rebuilt front axle, full desmog, and premium Alpine 7-speaker audio system, Tuffy lockable console, dash pad, interior mats, USB ports front and back, LED dome lights, and anti-theft hidden kill switch on the inside.

On the outside, the Cruiser has 4x4 Labs front and rear bumpers with swing out tire carrier and gas/cooler carrier and high-lift jack, Australian Side Mirrors, Hella Fog Lights, H-4 headlights, and LED exterior lights, Yakima roof rack, and 2” hitch. Factory 16″ steel wheels are mounted with low mileage Bridgestone Blizzak W965 Winter tires at each corner, plus a full spare. The Cruiser comes with another full set of rims and Cooper Discoverer AT3 tires, with a full spare. The paint job is in fair condition, except for rust in the rear driver side quarter panel, per the photos below and a fair amount of oxidation on the roof and hood. Chrome and exterior body parts including chrome in good shape.

On the inside, the seats feature striped gray cloth seating surfaces in excellent condition, front heat warmers, and Dynamat sound deadening was applied to the roof, floors, doors, and rear cargo area. The top of the line new seven speaker Alpine audio system includes a Hertz 4x95W power amp, Morel Maximo speakers and 8” Excelon 8" Flat subwoofer in the cargo area. A three-spoke steering leather wrapped wheel sits ahead of factory instrumentation that includes an 85-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 4k-rpm redline, and a combination gauge. The six-digit odometer shows over 213k miles.

The Cruiser is powered by a carbureted 4.2-liter 2F inline-six, and features 16″ black steel wheels, power steering, air conditioning, a rear cabin heater. It has been meticulously maintained over the years, including regular servicing with belt and fluid changes, and is offered with full-service records since time of purchase in 2014, a clean Carfax report, recent inspection report, and a clean Oregon title in the seller’s name. The Carfax report indicates no accidents or other damage and shows registration history in Nevada, California, and Oregon.

Stock or aftermarket Carb? Rig reads and looks like it's in great condition, would you drive it across country?

Stock or aftermarket Carb? Rig reads and looks like it's in great condition, would you drive it across country?
Hey there Ben. The carb was rebuilt in 2016 when I desmogged the engine. It is OEM, but called my mechanic to confirm. Engine runs great and always has. The longest road trip I took the Cruiser in was in 2018 when I traveled to a Wyoming and back fully loaded with bikes, roof tent, and kids. We clocked over 2k miles without a hitch. I’ve never broken down or been stranded. I would have no reservations driving across country with all the caveats that one is driving a 37 yr old car.

Hope this helps!

Rob
