I have been trolling Craigslist looking for a decent deal on a portable cooler for the garage. So far every decent deal seems to be gobbled up before I can make the call. All the others are at near, or at retail for new ones.

If anyone here has a lead on one, please let me know. I need something to put in the corner of my 2 car garage so I can keep the project going through the summer. Once it gets over 100 out, the garage gets too hot to do much in. I am looking to spend somewhere around $200, but less would be even better.

On a slightly related note, anyone up for a tub removal party once I can tackle the high garage temps?

Hey splitshot ill take it if he doesnt want it.

Where is podunk? Im in florence.

Does it work? (other than not being on wheels etc...) motor good?

Thanks

Go for it flycast. While I am sure that it would have no problem cooling my garage, it is a monster, and I would prefer it to be on wheels without having to make a dolly for it. Thanks though.

its big enough to cool you off if your in the vicinity of the blowing air. it will drop the temp of a two car garage a bit while your moving around or getting tools but you'll want it blowing in your general area.

i have a giant 6500 cfm unit that keeps the garage pretty nice while sitting and drinkin a beer, but while working even with that monster it needs to be blowing in my area.

it still needs to be blowing in my area.

Like he says, coolers have to have wheels to be worth a darn so you can move it to where you are IMO.

thats awesome!

super hero pose :D

The Home Depot unit isn't going to do let you work on your project at 600 CFM. I have a 4500 I put on wheels and it really doesn't do much in the heat of the summer. I figured that problem out last summer. Get a garage 7,000' elevation.:bounce:

So WTF is Podunk anyway? I know it is somewhere cool enough to use a wood burning stove in the winter time. If nothing else PM me. I'm just curious and I'll keep it a secret.

Shhhhh, most of that was just a rumor, and to set the record straight, there are no axles under my laundry room.
