Has anyone else noticed the obama adds on mud? I use my droid razor most of the time when im surfing. I dont care about political views. I would post if it were romney. I guess its paid advertisement for the powers to be.

I haven't seen any. Prolly my zip code versus yours. No point in advertising a radical liberal economically challenged socialist candidate here.

You are a radically liberal economically challenged socialist? HUH?

Never heard a leftie actually admit it... respect. :D

Dont want to start a political war unless foreskin gets involved and skillet has his way with him. Hehe

Haven't seen it here yet...have seen enough of his sorry ass on ESPN.

Never knew the internet had ad's sometimes I guess it would be nice to know what people are trying to sell me though

So if i buy a star the adds go away?

Fng? Whats that darin? Insert rolling eyes smiley.

Woody doesn't control what Google decides to advertise.

Yes and no. There are category filters in place within the Google ad system, I have a number of things in place to block get-rich-quick stuff, weight loss stuff, political stuff, and others....but they are not 100% effective, since the advertisers may or may not categorize their ads correctly.

I see the same ad "load" as guests...any member who registers on the site immediately see's less ads. 10+ posts sees less, 250+ sees less, and supporting (star'd) members see the minimum (or can turn on/off certain things in their User CP) Since I see 100% of ads (guest level), I also spend time reviewing what ads are shown and working with the various networks to attempt to provide ads that are relevant to the site and provide possible value and interest to the members. Frankly, a number of networks have failed, and the systems are removed from the ad cascade. There are about 15-18 different active ad networks being managed thru the ad serving system.

Ads on the mobile platform are not yet as controllable...simply, star'd members see no ads, non-star'd members see them. There are some category controls as well, but not as effective.

Based on your first post, you are on a mobile platform...I assume using the mobile app found in the Play Store?

I'll check into what the settings are for that, and see if turning off political categories is an option...can't recall offhand, many of those were set it/forget it options.

Thanks woody. I guess I need to buy a star. My is a digital mobile marketing guru for a living and she broke it down barney style for me. Now i understand it a little better.
So i undestand this correctly i should be targeted by crown royal, toyota and guns. Hehe
