Hey guys,
Has anyone recently done the Point Sublime Trail at the North Rim ?
I'd like to try and get there this weekend, but I'll be with my little family and don't want the offroading to be to crazy/long. If I air down, can it be done in an hour?
Thanks!

I have nothing to help you, but our group of 55s are going to be out there the week of June 18th. Talking about running that trail. The books say it's one of the best viewing spots of the Grand Canyon. The book I've got says the trail is rutted and need a high ground clearance 4wd, take that for what it's worth.

Good luck and post up what you find.

I think it's safe to assume that either of the two routes in would require more than an hour one way. Especially if you don't want passengers to have a too-wild ride. Mud shouldn't be bad given the dry winter (it can be in June on a wet year) but there may be downfall. I suggest calling the Grand Canyon National Park backcountry office for information about rules, permits, route conditions and drive times.
