Had an excellent turn out by PMC Members and friends today for the 10th annual PMC Mud Run at Lake Pillsbury with Tim Wehrer as trail lead. There was 22 members present for the raffle and Damon Moss won with number 422. Congrats Damon!

PMC Members present also presented Tim with a plaque in recognition of his continued volunteer efforts. This years Mud Run is also significant in conjunction with PMC's 10th year celebration! Ron can post up his group photo.

I know I saw a lot of new members joining... Thank you.
Write up your stories or event review and submit to John for the newsletter. All board members should submit their submissions too.

Thanks to all who attended, great time! Remember the March meeting in Rohnert Park.

Mud Run

I want to thank everyone for the plaque that was given to me at the lake Saturday, it caught me off guard and I'm more than happy to try and pull everyone together for the run. The weather was really nice (except at 6:30am doing 65mph, I think John and I were the only crazy ones without tops) by the time we left the airport we had about 28 rigs including 3 Bronco's. Ryan and Tony took a group that took some of the more milder trails and I lead the rest on our usual trails.
Last year we spent a lot of time trying to get everyone up Erikson's ridge due to the snow and some deep washouts. I was more than bumed to pull up at the base, put it in 4X4 and start up the trail only to find out that the trail was dry and had been graded since last time we were there.
Lower Powder house was also dry which made a quick run to the base of upper Powder house. It has a nice clime at the start, levels and goes up again this is were Andy lost a break line and did a 40mph backward downhill run, luckily no one was right behind him.
I need to apologize to the guys we left on upper Powder house (2 mini trucks and 2 jeeps) with a large group we need to keep moving, you never know what might happen so when a few guys get the Marlin fever and run the trail at 200 to 1 ratio and the rest of the group is in 4 high we gotta say so long.
Through out the day one of our guest (Josh) is a film student from Southern Cal. who filmed our run for a class project that will be shown on TV down there. He'll be sending us the completed DVD when he's done editing it.
The day pretty much ended with Andy on his side in the V-crack at the top of Hull and Eric trying to up-right Andy in his truck. Larry (Yotaman)stood by saying that he was going to Moon Rocks next week and didn't want to try the V-crack (same spot that he rolled before) well Larry couldn't take it watching others trying it and away he went, almost at the top and "POW" "Bling" there went the front Detroit and the teeth from the rear pinion, bumer. Lucky his buddy had a trailer there.
Thanks Again-see you at the March meeting
Tim
