Hi PMC People,

Just picked up my first FJ40 (1973) and came across your group. I'd love to come to your meeting, meet some members and see if it's something that I might fit into. I'm new to FJ40's and 4x4'ing so you guys will have to coach me along..lol.

I live in the Santa Rosa area. Been painting cars at local body shops for 20yrs. So I'm excited about finally working on my own and getting it in shape instead of always restoring other peoples.. haha.

This is what was listed when I bought it.

Warn winch and manual locking Warn hubs. New brakes and cylinders front and rear and rebuilt master cylinder, resealed front and rear axles, front disc brake upgrade with rear drum brakes. Has original F-series 6 cyl. engine and transfer case. Transmission has been replaced with Chevrolet Muncie SM420. Rear axle has a LOCK-RIGHT automatic posi-lock differential. New u-joints on front and rear driveshafts. Has 3" lift with greasable spring pins/shackles. New exhaust and headers. Carburetor recently rebuilt . New radiator and battery. power steering Also came with a hard top and set of soft half doors and set of soft full doors. Interior seems to be pretty stock and everything works great right down to the stock AM radio..lol

Sounds like a pretty straight rig with enough upgrades to be joining Rubithon this year.
Hope to meet you at the Sonoma meeting.

I am a PMC'er, and I live right in front of Howarth Park, thats pretty darn close to the Rincon Valley area. Lived there all my life to. I would have to say we are close to being neighbors.

Dreamin, you live in the Rialto ? or the apartments ? or the auto shop ?

Jpie, I was born and raised in Rincon Valley, now live in Windsor. Grew up on Fairway Dr. out by Los Alamos( road up to Hood Mtn.) and spent high school years on Middle Rincon Rd.

Lots of club members are from SR or immediate area.

Have you been around SR( Rincon Valley ) long ?

Cruiser looks nice, where'd it come from ?

I've been living in Rincon Valley for the past 14 yes, just off Calistoga Rd. I grew up in Sebastopol. I bought the cruiser from a guy in Livermore. He had it for a few years. I've only had it close to a month.

I don't believe you Pees, I have lived in the houses just south of sonoma ave, for 44 years, and middle rincon was where me and my friends also hung out, AND I NEVER SEEN YOU THERE!!!

NOT ONCE!!

Just curious how many in PMC are from the Santa Rosa area? Any in the Rincon Valley area?

I'm a semi-active member whose work schedule keeps me from many of the events and meetings, and I reside in the hills east of SR, and spend my downtime in Rincon Valley.
I'll keep an eye peeled for your rig, I usually wave that the rare 40 or 55 I see on the road. My rig's a black first-gen with a white tailgate.

No way, me too! SR transplant from Seb-town. Grew up off Florence Avenue, been in Santa Rosa 11 years this summer.

Looking at your picture, I think I may have waved at you about three weeks ago, during that really nice weather that lasted about a week. It was about noon, I was headed uphill on Calistoga grade on my way back from Reliable Hardware.
