So went to pick up our 99LC from the dealership and noticed a cel so checked it and it was a po340 cam sensor code. Shut it off and tried to restart it but it wouldnt start. went in and got my service guy and had him witness the code and it did start roughly with him. Code wouldnt clear so I left it with them and he said his guy will be in at 7am to check it out.

Ive briefly looked at some info on this code but would like some specifics if anyone has some. My main concern is that I dont get stuck with some crazy bill because they just claim its a bad sensor.

PM done was timing belt, water pump, pulleys, cam and crank seals, serp belt, front two o2 sensors, trans, diffs, tc fluids.

Was this pm all done the same day as when you saw the cel upon pickup of the vehicle? If so it is fairly certain they screwed something up. May just be they forgot to plug in the sensors connector

Just got a call from dealership. Mech put a cam gear on backwards which messed with ecu/cam sensor reading. Rechecked timing marks and said all was good and in process of fixing their error.

Hopefully no damage done.
