+1 on what everyone else has said here; certifiable snake oil. These so-called chips and reprogrammers do absolutely nothing for normally-aspirated engines. Save your money for a better investment, like a chocolate unicorn.

Yep, gonna order one today along with the tornado for the air intake line, ion magnet for the fuel line, and some slick 50 to coat my engine internals with pure unobtanium - by the time I get all these on the truck I figure I'll have 1000+hp, be able to tow 100,000 lbs, and be able to drive on a single tank for at least a couple years. :bang:

Don't overlook all that necessitating the largest spoiler/wing you can afford/hang on the back: you're going to need it with that kind of power.

Maybe so they could increase it next year and sell you a new truck....it's called marketing....dribble out new technology a little at a time so you'll keep coming back to buy the latest and greatest . The latest technology that any company is working on today will hit the market in 5 to 10 years from now. Sad but true.

A point not to be missed- engines are always massaged as time goes on. Another reason to cajole people to trade perfectly good vehicles- and more so since so little changes on the outside each model year.

That being said, I am perpetually skeptical of aftermarket chips. The ones that work give more power, but not much if anything in MPG- and they do so at the expense of reliability and longevity.
