I have the woofer. it is kinda ugly but the cone is protected so nothing can crush it and it sounds great. I have to turn the bass down sometimes and up for older music lacking the thump. The overall sound is really good. especially I like the headliner speakers. Two are right above your head(driver& passenger) I was bummed that there is no sunroof but I believe the speakers are to blame. Now that I have heard them its a toss up to which I prefer....I still have a 93 4runner with 185,000 that has the roof so I cant reallly be too picky!

OK I would like to see the 285's with a lift too before & after if possible!
do they make 275's...

So do i, I 'm thinking about getting the tires with out the lift, Look on Ebay there is a guy selling his with The BFG tires 285's you want.

My Goodyear MT/R 285's rub the front body mount at full turn. The body mount is the big problem, it needs to be trimmed and re-boxed. I put the 285's on to check the fit and decided not to drive it, because turning around in my driveway caused the tires to rub the body mount. I believe that if the body mount were trimmed and re-boxed that the 285's would fit just fine. I have an OME lift on order and will also be trimming the body mounts in the next two weeks. Then the 285's should fit just fine.

I don't think The BFG AT at 285 70x17 will rub, The Goodyear MT/R are a bit aggresive than the BFG AT..

I think I will put the lift first, then modify the body mounts, then go down to Discount Tire and have em mount up 33" mud terrains and see how they look.

What's the width most are going? I mean in inches, I never understand what the heck the metric sizes mean.

Like maybe 33X10.5/ 17 or 33x12.5 / 17 or what?

You know I never understand them iether..lol I believe it's 33x12.5/17..pending on size wheels or are you staying with the stock wheels (rims)?

There is a good tire size converter page over at www.4lo.com. It will convert your metric sizes to inches.

265/70-17 = 31.6" x 10.4"
285/70-17 = 32.7" x 11.2"
295/70-17 = 33.3" x 11.6"
.
..
...
you get the point :)

As for the BFG A/T rubbing or not. At least you'll know how to fix it if they do rub.

Awesome! Thanks !

Plug n' Play tire conversion.... Just what I like!

They rub just a hair under braking/quick turning. Lift is on the way to take care of it.

Thank you very much for the photo. your truck looks great! I am in Flagstaff. I ordered it from Big Two in April got it yesterday.Smooth as silk at MSRP. Silver/upgrade#2 convenience package.... LOVE IT!!!

Does anyone else have a few photos? Does anyone know if they make a 275 bfg/AT? and if so does it rub ?....Not sure if I am going to lift....I like the ride so far.....:bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce2:

No 275's... I Have the 285's and have had had no problems with them without a lift.

I'm wondering if anyone has done a 34-35 equiv. with a or without a lift, but probobly with....

An engineer for one of the lift manufactures I sell, told me thats how big a tire you would fit with their 3" lift, and bumpstop trimming. I know theres a few 3" lifts out now so Just wondering if anyone has ventured that far yet...

maybe like a 315/70-17 ~ 34.4" x 12.4"

A big thanks to the two Voodoo blues for posting photos! I appreciate it!...I guess I'll be the first Titanium(silver) to throw 285's on my "turtle". I think it looks like a turtle..... If they rub then lift it is. I was down in Sedona AZ yesterday off road with my brother. His land rover bottomed out in one spot and I had about 4 inches of clearance over the same spot...I was able to go everywhere the pink jeep tours go, they all have 285's and OME lifts...ARB bull bars too....

Here are 275/70R17 Goodyear MT/Rs. I have taken it offroad and tried to articulate the suspension as much as possible while turning and have not rubbed. I don't think BFGs come in this size but if so, they should pose no problems.
