Nick (AuburnFJSexy) and I (Miranda) both teach at Summerour Middle School in Norcross, GA. (Thomas is a previous student) Our student population is currently over 70% hispanic and 20% African American, with the rest being other. The majority of our students are on Free or Reduced lunches. We are considered a Title 1 school, due to the economic backgrounds of our children.

Our school is hosting a Career Day on Friday, May 8.
These students need the opportunity to hear that there are many great jobs/careers out there and they too can set their goals high.

Anyone that is interested in sharing their career or knows someone that might be able to come speak please contact myself or Nick.

DO IT FOR THE CHILDREN :D

NEW DETAILS:Career Day runs from 9:30 - 3:30 but you are not required to present the whole day. The day is divided into session that are 30 minutes long and you can come for one or how many ever you can. They want you to speak for 20 minutes and leave about 10 minutes for questions. The person in charge says that if you are interested they will work with your schedule. If you would like more details, just ask so I can get that information for you.

Thanks SO much for the posibility, I will get more details and post them up. I know it's a little early to be planning, but I'm quite Type A.

So does this mean you are in for career day? :D

My career consists of "poverty with a view".

I seriously doubt your students would want to become a 4WD trainer. ;)
