Sorry, This is a double post. I wrote the other one while driving, so it was a little vague.
2002 Land Cruiser 330k.
I had the front wheel bearings re-packed, and my front brake pads replaced 2 weeks ago. During the process, the mechanic noticed that the stabilizer links on both sides of the front sway bar were missing entirely from the truck. I assumed that one of them broke, and it caused stress on the other side, and in turn broke. I went ahead and had the mechanic replace the links, and away I went. After a couple of days I noticed a pretty significant rattle coming from the front end. Before I take it back to the mechanic I was hoping to maybe get some feedback here. Anyone have any other ideas? Are the links that important? I am assuming they were missing for quite a while since I didn't even notice the truck handle any different.
Any possibility it has to do with the bearing re-pack?
Thanks for any advice!

My guess is the mechanic didn’t install the anti-rattle clips that come with the brake pads. This happened to me as well.
One easy way to check is to drive over an area that causes it to rattle and lightly press on the brakes while still pressing on the gas. If the noise goes away when you press on the brakes that’s what it is. It took me quite a while to figure it out with lots of time under the truck with it parked trying to recreate the noise and I couldn’t. I finally figured it out by accident because I noticed every time I braked the noise went away. I eventually replaced all the brake pads with EBC Green Stuff pads myself and installed all the clips that came in the kit. Rattle noise all gone! And although these pads do create more dust than most my truck can actually stop now.
I think you can just buy the clips by themselves but make sure you get all of them.
Good luck and hope this helps.
