So my front bumper is looking pretty rough as it has some tree rash from a root in a mudhole I got stuck in per my profile pic. Has anyone rattle canned their bumpers back to original color or something close. I have a white 2000 lx and was wondering because I found some white plastidip in my garage this morning.

I did my grille and emblems and I was thinking about doing my wheels in Plastidip too but after a couple of months my grille does not look so great (peeling) YMMV. The emblems are still holding up great but I already purchased new paint to replace the plastidiped grill. FWIW I put six coats of plastidip on the grille and emblems.

It is holding up better than I expected on my grill surround and rear emblems. I figured it would be gone in a month, but it has been several and no indication that it is wearing.

If you have it already, go for it. Worst case you have to peel it off. One thing, I doubt one can will do enough coats on a full bumper.

I would not do it and it will not just peel off from an area that large at least from what I have on my hood. I think monstaliner seems like a better bet for that area.

I wouldn't use that plastidip personally. I've got a white 01 LC and have used white plastidip in the past for other projects, the colors aren't remotely close and it'll look off.

That said, I do intend to color match my bumpers and side trim when it warms back up because it looks much better... Like this one: FS 2000 UZJ100 Land Cruiser SOLD - AR15.Com Archive

White is tough to match and will stand out if you plasti-dip it, and like someone else said it probably won't hold up on an area that big. I did a grill on another one, took my time and it's lifting at the edges months later. Rattle can would look better if you can find a decent match, but still won't look great in my opinion.

Mine is the pearl(which I didn't think about). Alot of the guys with trucks back when I was in highschool would plastidip they're whole dan trucks it seemed like but I'm glad I didn't follow trend by what yall are saying. Looks like I am saving up for an arb!
