I was wondering if plastic epoxy like pc-7 can be used as a body filler before you primer and paint. If you do use it, what are the steps to have good results?

Thanks, ty

I would say probably not, but I've never used it to absolutely say "no it wouldn't". With that said, autobody fillers are specifically designed to bond to metal as well as primers.

I am with toyzz, don't do it.

I have tried this before - problem is after about 20 heat cycles (or fewer) you are going to see cracks start to form due to how steel expands and shrinks and the epoxy does not. If you use it like a filler - your "puck" of epoxy will fall right off. If you use it to plug a hole (even worse idea) it may hang on, but it will crack, allow moisture in, rust even worse, and give you nightmares for a week.

LOL - I hope this helps

I really don't see any reason for doing so. It is going to be hard to work with and get good results and you aren't going to gain anything over using "real" filler.
