Not really, quads took over 600 acres by solon. Bussy is where we go the most. www.miobi.org and I think some up by Waterloo.

So I was told that 600 acres was closed. i remember that place from years ago. Is it closed or just for ATVs now?
theres a big mud pit in hudson...thats about it...

Any time man, any time. Even now- with snow on the ground it's pretty easy to get around in the west desert. You do have to be prepared though. Extra water, food etc. It's a LONG way from anywhere.

MIOBI is the only place that is a true Off-Road Park...and you have to be a member of MIOBI to wheel there. MIOBI.org - The Make It Or Break It 4-Wheelers
Well, you don't have to be a member to wheel there, the MIOBI club does have 2 "open" weekends each year, where non-members can wheel the entire 3-4 day event for $55 (camping\additional vehicles extra).
Member pay nearly as much after membership fees are factored in, but of course, there's perks.

My 87 Toyota pickup spent the night at the top of a hill climb at 600 acres one night years ago! Bummer they closed it to 4x4's. That was about the only thing going back then. This was probably 1992ish?
Came back to get it the next morning and it was frozen solid in the big puddle I broke through. Much fun to get that rig out of the woods!
Grew up in CR...left in 96 as soon as I could get out of there!
