Places in Asheville

Having never really stopped there, just driven through a bunch, i'm going to take my mom to Asheville tomorrow. I need to know some good places to go. I've heard there are some great bars there and and incredible beer store...... where are these as well as some good sight seeing places.

Be careful there is a Holliday parade going on downtown, so it is likely to be busy. Most of downtown is pretty neat, of course the BRP is still open I think towards Mt. Mitchell, Craggy Gardens area is nice. Plenty of good restaurants in downtown area, but no biltmore eh? That is our main tourist draw!! There is plenty other to do in Asheville though...
