Not sure what you call these wheels, I grabbed these 55 shots from Readers' rides, but I like the look of them over the stock chrome ones I have.

Just wondering if anyone has these on their rig.

There is a guy who lives in Ft. Worth that has those wheels on his 60 and it looks pretty good. I met him once at a club meeting but haven't seen him since.

stock 40/55 steelies with the hubcaps. I know of a few 60 that have them. I have set back at home that I plan to have widened for my 60. but it's not cheap! which is why i haven't done it yet...

How wide do they need to be to fit a 60? Are they that much narrower than the 9.5"?

Have em on my SOA truck and runnin 37's.....If the rain stops will post a pic...

I really want these wheels for my truck. Does anyone know of a source for the wheels and hubcaps?

Kinda depends on how tall a tire and personal preference. I belive stock width for those wheels are 5-6". A friend put stock width steelies with 34x9.5 swampers from his 40 on his 62 and said it was scary to drive. For anything over 33", personally, i'd go at least 8" wide. with a narrower wheel, spacers would probably help too.

Hey no fair! I wanted them first! :flipoff2:

I see the hub caps on SOR's site running about $28 bucks a piece, but no wheels.

You can source them used from some of the Land Cruiser shops and parts places across the US.
But, be careful. You need the 76 and later wheels to fit on your front disc brakes. the early model wheels will hit the caliper.
If you do find a set of early ones, you can run spacers or simply grind the inside of the wheel a little to fit.
Good luck

Or just do what I did several years ago...Buy some used 40 steel wheels and have a wheel shop cut the centers out and weld them into a blank steel outer...now I have toyota centers with hub caps and a 8" wheel...

Hmmmmm, like the look of the hup caps......90% of my driving is freeway so just put on stock 16x6 in Toyota wheels part # 42601-60262-03 with Michelin LT AT 235/85/16s and the ride is awsome compared with the PO installed 31/10.5 15s , the toyota wheels are original steelies, available from toystore at around 110 $, local toyota dealer quoted 137 a piece!.......after mounting, 2 required no balancing weights at all! and no clearance problems!

Previous owner of my 60 had the wheels widened and powder coated, I will buy some caps to put on them one of these days. I will try to take a picture and post them.

yup, that's the traditional widening method, you can also specify back spacing as well.

That is my 55 on the left :)

Call cruiserdan...he has both caps and wheels...

Ya bastid. :D

I've got those rims (without the hub caps though) on my FJ-60, but I don't have my camera until Thursday so I will post a pic then if nobody beats me to it. I have only driven the 60 with them on for about 300 miles, and that was last year but I thought that I was having some issues with the TRE hitting the rims on extreme turns. The PO was not too intelligent about this thing so he may have used the wrong TREs or something to that affect. The rims I am using were off of an 83 FJ-40 so I thought the setup would be the same.
