Well some might know I am selling my 4" Alcans from my FJ55. But I wanted to ask something before I actually go through this. You have many pig owners asking about using Old Man Emu springs on an FJ55. But what about using my 4" Alcans on my FJ62?

Let me know what you guys think. I would also maybe like to use my 35" tires that no ones seems to want to buy.

the Alcans are as follows:

Front springs are about 21.5" from the military wrap to the center pin.

Rears are about 23" from the military wrap to the center pin.

The pins are centered on the springs.

Measure the eye to spring pin length (both eyes) on the 62. And width, that should tell you if they'll fit.

The spring widths are the same. The front factory springs appear to be close enough to use the Alcans on the front without any issues. They seem to have the same measurements. I am not able to get an accurate measurement on the rear factory springs. If there is going to be an issue it will be with the rear springs. It might set the rear axle back 1-1.5 inches. I could always use a center pin relocator. I actually think I have a set in the garage. This would relocate the center pin on the rear springs close to stock location.

So on the Alcans from what I can tell the front springs are 21.5 from the military wrap to the center pin and 21.5 inches from the center pin to the shackle. Spring length would be 43".

The Alcan rears are about 23 inches from the military wrap to the center pin and 23 inches from the center pin to the shackle. Spring length would be 46 inches.

The FJ62 factory springs on the front seem to be the same measurements as the Alcan front springs.

The FJ62 factory rear springs I am unable to get an accurate reading. I think they are 22.5 from the military wrap to the center pin.

Anyone know the actual specs for the 60 series rear springs?
