well, got the block back from the machine shop - bored 40 over and all hot tanked and ready to go as well as the crank. Some pretty heavy duty stuff!

Me and Vern got in the pistons and crankshaft will all new OEM bearings. Still waiting on the Downey cam and springs so the head can get finished and and we can put the rest of the engine back together.

Got the MAF tri-y's in, the new CCOT radiator, so it'll be like an all new ride (practicaly) when done. Everything going in is OEM except the cam and springs.

Sweet! Good to see it coming along.

Here my awesome Copper Power Plant! (Vern thinks it's kinda ugly:))

Minor prob we had putting in the new cam - wouldn't seat all the way. Thought at first something was wrong with the Downey cam. Turns out the machine shop installed the wrong freeze plug, and the cam couldn't go in all the way. Vern was not happy that he had to take apart the bell housing and clutch to fix their f' up!

Finished assemplying the engine Sat and started to get it stuffed. Well, after spending about 2 hours or so, and it not sliding into the shaft, we called it beer time.

Sunday morning, it slide on without hardly any fuss. Go figure. Got the drive acc. on, headers and intake manifold (what a bitch to get to some of them header bolts!)

Should get it all finished up next W/E

Looking good!

Vern and Cookie are a hoot - good folk!

yep - I even added a few words to my vocabulary I learned from Vern when we were trying to get the engine in Sat.! :)

I have no problem with the color.
