Hello good people of this forum. Forgive me for being such a moron and asking a simple question that I should be able to figure out. I have searched this forum and can't find an answer on how to connect an iPhone to our 2009 GX470. I once knew how to do this because my phone is connected, but I cannot figure out how to connect my wife's phone since she is now the primary driver of the vehicle. I have "misplaced" my owners manual. Sorry for such a boring topic, but a little guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,
PH

yah, i found this to be annoying too... i think the bluetooth pairing is buried deep in the menu somewhere. i'll pop in and see if i can figure it out again, and report back....

You need to enter "0000" as a passphrase in your iphone to get it to connect. Go to the Menu section of your nav system and find phone in there and select "handsfree" in your iphone bluetooth settings and there is a place to enter the pin. Note- you can not play music but you can make calls and use hands free by pushing the siri button on the phone itself and talking to siri through the handsfree speaker.

Thanks fellas, yeah, I've tried that and it won't prompt me to enter the 0000 code. I'll keep trying.

under the blue tooth connections on your phone you should see "lexus". If it's not connecting then you arent hitting the right buttons on the nav unit. I recently got a new phone and had to go through the process and it involved a lot of cussing.

Cool, thanks. I'll look for that. Maybe the "hands free link" is not the right option.

i guess, just to be clear... the way i paired mine was:
info -> telephone -> settings (scroll to second part of settings) -> under "bluetooth" row, there is an option of "add phone"

is that what you did?
