2008 toyota landcruiser - Built for comfort and capability. I've had this truck for 10 years, and thought i'd keep it for 10 more. Family is growing and doesn't want to camp or go off road anymore. We purchased a bigger vehicle (excursion) to tow the boat, so the cruiser has to go.
the short list if you dont want to read the whole ad: Tundra front suspension, OEM Tundra brakes, regeared with OEM 4.30 gears, 3.75” lift, 20” wheels, 35” tires, metal tech bumper, white knucle sliders, Prinsu roof rack, all major maintenance items taken care of. (Radiator, Starter, and Steering Rack replaced, heater “T”s replaced with metal versions, trans flush at 175K, oil changed at 5k intervals with full synthetic)
Leather in excellent condition
If you've made it this far and want the nitty gritty, here goes: The good, the bad, and the ugly.
The good:
Front Suspension: approximately 4” lift, Tundra front suspension components with increased track width by 3”
OEM lower control arms (replaced 2024)
SPC upper control arms (replaced 2024)
Icon 2.5 coilovers with reservoir and CDC valve
Tundra OEM outer tie rod ends
Tundra OEM CV axles
Rear Suspension
Icon 2.5 coilovers with reservoir and Tourflex compound rate springs
Swaybar bushings, and rear track bar replaced 2023.
Dr. KDSS track bar drop bracket installed 2024
Brakes:
Front brakes upgraded to Tundra stoptech slotted rotors and OEM Tundra calipers/ dust plates
Rear brakes with matching slotted rotors. Full stainless braded brake lines
Gearing: 4.30 OEM Toyota gears
Gearing changed to 4.30 using OEM (Sequoia) differential
Rear differential from 1999 landcruiser 100 series with factory mechanical locker.
Add ons:
Metal tech ghost front bumper, white knuckle sliders, Prinsu roof rack
Walker evans 20x9 wheels with 35x12.50 Falken MTs, McGuard splined lug nuts,
front wheel studs imported from Japan. 10mm longer to install aftermarket wheels. (Will still work with factory lug nuts.)
Dual batteries, onboard air compressor, Wiring added for fridge and USB chargers with voltage readout.
Headlights upgraded to LED
Cheap Light bars in grill and in bumper, LED interior lighting with extra light added to cargo area, camp lights on roof rack, reverse light added to rear bumper
Roof coated with insulating polymer paint.
Phone holder/wireless charger mount, RAM mount, 3D printed cup holder
full 3 row weathertech floor mats,
The bad:
Engine has a tick on passenger side. Suspect timing chain tensioner needs to be replaced.
Seeps coolant at valley plate. Add a quart every couple months.
Evap canister replaced after top of the world run in MOAB. throws code every few days in the winter, clears with scanner.
Tires are worn. They have a little over 50k on them. 2nd set of wheels/tires offered with sale
Environmental controls fidgety. AC blows cold, Selecting between dash and floor is hit or miss.
Fresh air diverter door broken.
The ugly
This has been a daily driver, off road adventure wagon, Moab/Colorado/Arizona trail truck complete with Arizona pen striping and a couple minor dents.
A rock flew off a cliff during a downpour in Ouray, denting the back quarter, and some jackwagon shot the back of the truck with a BB gun, leaving a small dent.
The rear bumper has been modified by Moab, the sides have Arizona pen striping.
Due to the Arizona sun, the clear coat starting to peel on door handles and plastic bumper cover
the clear on the hood is gone.
EXTRA parts to be included:
Ebay snorkel, just haven’t pulled the trigger to cut up the fender.
Set of 2018 factory wheels with 33” cooper all terrains
1.5” wheel spacers – to match added width of front suspension
Additional items can be included in sale for additional funds (or just full asking price)
Rooftop cargo basket, 4 Gallon water tank with sprayer.
