My Pfran's came in. I went out to install them and so far I'm not impressed. There's nothing else with the bulbs. No diagram, instructions, nothing? A simple one page piece of paper that tells the user that LED's have polarity, your factory lamps don't might help someone that buys their product. I know that but the average user might not know that.

The small "wing shaped LED's that go on either side of the dome lamps don't seem to be very secure to me. It feels like if I hit a bump they'll fall out.

I just got them so my thoughts might change once I figure out what to do with them but so far... not impressed at all...

That info doesn't exist in his website... not even in the FAQ section.

All of the ratings for the kit are 5 (as was mine) but almost every comment said the same thing. A simple page of instructions OR something on his site would go a long way toward customer service. Either way... the link you provided is exactly what I needed. Thanks

Paul has been giving fantastic customer service to us for a long time. I wouldn't hesitate to continue buying LEDs from him. He has put together a great kit at a great price for us.

Lights are pretty much plug and play. I have never had an issue with mine falling out and I don't know anyone else who has either. The crew that I spend time with all have them installed and we've seen a few bumpy roads.

As a general rule, it's always best to contact the vendor first prior to posting up about something, especially something negative. I bet Paul would be willing to just refund your money if you sent the LEDs back, but you won't find a better light for a cheaper price.

i have no doubt that he gives great service here. He even supplies spares! That's incredible in todays world. I would buy another set of lights from him if I had the need. As someone that has built his own boards, wrote his own programs, blah, blah I know good electronics quality when I see it. The complaint is not about quality. Go to the website. That's where EVERYONE else that buys them has to go. That's where I went. Look at the comments (I didn't). The short version of nearly every one of the comments is great lights, wish there was a single sheet of instructions. There's info for 80 series Toyotas on the site. Bear in mind that not everyone that comes here is a lifer Toyota pilot. Some of us came from Jeep, Chevy, and Ford. There are things about each make of vehicle that that take some getting used to...

I could've worded the "winged shaped" comment better. The light connection is the way Toyota made it. His lights are made for something he has no control over. So what I expressed was a concern about how the lights install not the lights.

I get your defense of the product. I even applaud it. But I stand by my complaint. An LED has polarity. The average consumer doesn't know that. A good bit of the population has never set foot in a Toyota prior to owning a Land Cruiser (or other Toyota product). It's different enough that a simple writeup explaining the basics would have been nice and might have saved a popped fuse and 20 mile drive one-way to the parts store.

As far as contacting the vendor goes- I went to the site. I checked the FAQ section- nothing. Support-->Installation Guides--> Toyota nice writeup about installing in the 80 series. Nothing for the 100 series. I read the reviews. All 5's, as was mine. And almost all requested a simple installation writeup. It ain't just me.

Vendor market -> Pfran -> 100 series LED's

Thanks for the link earlier. That's all that I needed. All lights are in and they work and look great. Simple install all the way thru. Next time I'll search here first instead of the vendor website (not kidding).

While not really necessary, wanted to chip in and say Paul stands behind what he provides us. No nickel and diming. Probably no significant margins either--these are inexpensive but cool upgrades. Postage in these cases is a relevant factor and he has no qualms replacing something that is not right. Wish he would expand his offerings (cv syringe for the Toyota grease? Alternative to the Toyota grease, which I think only comes in a pack that includes new boots and Toyota clamps, both not needed if you are just re-clamping using pfran's bands). He'd have loyal customers/partners. See that Lego movie with will Farrell--no instructions in some low risk cases is a positive.

I'll make one last comment and then leave it alone. I went out to check the brightness / function of the kit last night. I didn't buy just the kit, I added parking and backup lamps. The difference between stock and PFran LED's blew me away. They were far brighter than I expected. Supplying spares really caught me by surprise too. I rated them a 5 based on the build quality when I visited the site (looking for install instructions). I would rate them a 5+ based on function.

Bought leds from Amazon and they are nice and bright and last and last. For about half the price of pfrans.

Wow, last time I checked replacement bulbs at the hardware store don't come with house/car specific instructions either!

Dude: it's not rocket science, pull the old ones out and put the new ones in. If they don't work, flip em over and try again. It's as simple as... Well... Changing a light bulb...
