August is approaching us and with this heat the snow should be melting quickly. I'm going to propose two trips for the Okanagan Chapter that we can choose from, or we can do both.

Pettipiece Pass has been on my list for some time now. Check your Kootenays Backroads Mapbooks and look on pg 38, B4. As you can see you are driving right over a mountain range in the northern Selkirks. This will be an over night trip with a really nice looking lake, glacier views (one looks less than 2km away from the road at the summit of the pass), and I'm sure some good technical challenges that will put our cruisers to work.

Molybdenite Lake/Texas Creek is one trip that if you have never done it, such as myself, then you most likely really want to tick this one off your list. This is a high elevation, possibly the highest elevation in BC, FSR outside of Lillooet. I see this as being an overnighter as well. Check your Vancouver Backroads Mapbook pg. 38 B3 for the ridge and B4 for the lake.

Please post if you are:
- Interested in joining
- Which trip you prefer
- What dates work best, we will need two days and one night for either.

Will keep this updated the best I can. August is getting busy and hectic for me as I plan my trip to the Yukon for September. Need to do a lot of mods and maintenance. We will still make this happen.

Probably going to be mid to later in the month

Sadly this never happened. I became way too busy and my vehicle went under the knife and I've been hitting road blocks all along the way. Hopefully I'll be back up and running by the the end of the month.

I made it up Pettipiece earlier this year. Didn't go down to Arrow Lake though; just up to the pass. Beautiful area for sure.

Interested in seeing some pictures. If I can get my vehicle back together again in time I'm hoping to check this out

Sure, I dont have many but here are a couple. The road isn't rough but there are some very steep sections. I wouldn't recommend trying it if there is any snow.
