My cousin's dog, Bo. Evidently Pumas make good pillows.

Let's try this again.

Well I guess its time to offer my two rescues.

Sasha (the red nosed Pit) is a Staffordshire Terrier. She is about ten months old.

We decided she needed a roomate so, say hi to Ari. He is a German Shephard rescue out of the Everglades. Approx 3 months old. Supposedly the lone survivor of his litter.

So far, they seem to get on great. Time will tell.

Nice looking crew there.
Nice looking tile too. I used to have identical tile in a prior home.

I vote this should be renamed " The Random Pet Pics Thread"..

For instance, our new rescue, is an organized collector and shoe hider (the left is usually stashed in one of the kids bedrooms).

Rufus. Notice the grin on his face. Must be the land cruiser causing this.

I'm a proud pop of our new puppy lily rose. We rescued her from our local swap meet on 4th of July weekend. She was in a plastic bin with her siblings braving the valley heat of 104.

I see you also lost one Stash.:( I hope the little one helps soften the blow. Picking the next gen before the inevitable worked out well for me.:)

Brother rob this means a lot. Thank you. It was pretty rough and my new pup lily rose has already brought me happiness. I thinks she's going to make a great co-pilot. Thanks again!

Always sucks to lose a furry member of the family. Just found out our oldest, 13yr old yellow lab/pit mix, has Osteosarcoma (bone cancer) that is very advanced. Docs said he has 6-9 months left, amputation is an option but outcome is pretty much the same because it is more than likely elsewhere (though chest x-ray did not show anything). Still trying to figure it out and keep him comfortable. Sucky thing is that his "little brother" found out yesterday, our 9yr old pit/short-hair/lab mix, went up to him on the couch and inadvertently sniffed the spot where the cancer is, I was watching and instantly saw the ears pin back, he turns to look at me and then comes over to me puts his head on my lap and a paw. First thought was "Aw fxxx."

Gonna live life though until he lets us know it is time. In the meantime he will enjoy his pain pills and the occasional table scraps and what not with his other siblings (3 dogs and 1 cat that believes he is a dog). Don't know if we will add another once he is gone, hell having 3 70+lbs mutts running around is hard enough, only time will tell.

Animal instinct amazes me. When both of my older cats died, my little tortie walked up to them, took one sniff and hissed (she never hisses). Somehow she knew that her housemates where no longer there.:(

Yeah it is amazing to see what these so-called "animals" are capable of. Little sister hasn't figured it out yet but I am sure she will in time. Had yesterday off so spent some time laying with the old man while he was snoring away, middle one came over and laid right against me with us. Heart breaking and heart warming all at the same time which is a very strange sensation.

Sorry to hear Greg,

Waiting for the inevitable can be some of the most heart wrenching experiences, but at the same time one of the most beautiful ways to spend time before they are gone.
