I recently returned from Peru and thought I'd share a few of the Land Cruisers I came across. Surprisingly to me, given the diverse terrain there, they seem to be extremely rare. Instead, there's about a 50/50 split between Toyota Hilux trucks and Hiace vans littering the countryside. I saw a few more 40 and 70 series but couldn't get the camera out fast enough.

And a couple non-cruisers...

The Toyota Hiace: Likely one of the ugliest vans on the plant.

I'd love a Hiace! Ugly but awesome with a diesel.

The Hiaces are definitely capable. Once you get out of the big city, there are literally hundreds of them roaming around.
