Doesn't sound like a big deal to me. There is almost no public land in Texas and it only applies to vehicles that aren't licenced for the street (ATV's and dirt bikes). It doesn't apply to private parks which comprises most of the OHV activity in Texas anyway.

My Cruisers are licenced and my dirt bike has a plate on it too. :D

don't be a frog in slowly warming water. resist if only practice exorsizing your rights. if the pass one law, and see nobdy cares, thay'll pass another....

The fees collected go back into buying more land for off-road vehicle use. I'll probably buy stickers even though I don't need them.

"The new decal is required for any OHV operating in Texas on public land or on land purchased with grant funding from TPWD."

I thought Barnwell was purchaed with grant money. That means it will be required. More and more fees for fun = less participants.

Sorry, but if I want to wheel on PUBLIC land, I'm not buying a sticker.

If you have a licence plate, you don't need a sticker.

Like Jason said, the stickers are for OHVs ONLY. In a nutshell, the law defines "OHVs" as anything that is not street legal, like an ATV, dirtbike or buggy. A street legal vehicle - one that is currently licensed and registered (maybe even inspected?) - does not fall within the definition of an "OHV." Therefore, no sticker is required for those vehicles; however, some have bought them anyway in order to add funds to TXPWD grant money to maintain existing parks, like Barnwell, and to develop new ones.
