The turbo adapter was custom made for the production run of these turbo systems in AU.

I am going to be taking the turbo adapter apart in the near future (couple of months at least) so I can clean it up and install it on a fresh motor that is a bit better tweaked for a turbo..

Go look in the 40 sectiuon Rig of the week under me.
there are pics there.

I forgot one question. How did you do with the carb? I think that adding a turbo you'll need a carb that handle or or manage to put pressure about the air that the turbo is handling. sorry about my writing I need a lot of practice.
with service I was refering to maintenance of the engine.

What mace has set up, and correct me if I'm wrong, is what is called a "wet" setup where the air/fuel mixture is pressurized all at once inside the turbo. The air is sucked through the carb while the carb is providing fuel. Due to the velocity of the air flow, the carb provides more fuel. No pressure is fed back through the carb, and therefore it functions normally.

I'm 85% sure I got that correct.

You got it right.
Draw through is another term for the style I have.
The carb is upstream of the turbo. So it never is pressurized. You have to increase the carb size a bit to allow for more volume but essentially you are just putting a bigger motor under the carb.

Works great.
Means you do not have to deal with enrichment of the fuel mixture under boost.

so mechnic called and engine has to be completely rebuilt. I thought that since all that works was getting done i should probably try to see if i could get some more power out of that motor. Anybody know of any performance mods i could look into. Appreciate the help.

No matter what you decide to do make sure they have experience rebuilding landcruiser engines. 2f/3f From what I have hear if they do not then do not get them to do it. (When my engine dies I plan on buying a used engine and then getting it freshened up.)

Very much agreed. If MAF has trouble putting together a motor, then I would expect that these are not easy, nor common motors for being rebuilt.

A good motor with 200k on it is better than a bad motor with 0k on it.
