Where: Peavine Mountain - Verdi Mountain
Trailhead: Las Brisas Staging Area (Departing at 10 AM)
Trail Time: 4 - 6 hours
Trail Rating: 5 on our scale - 33-inch tires, high clearance, road surfaces are rutted, rocky, and sandy with steps not exceeding 14", with considerable slick rock surfaces. Water not exceeding 12" with some mud possible. Good vehicle approach and departure angles are helpful, sliders and skid plates wouldn't be a bad idea. Tall tires (33" plus) and traction aid devices (lockers, limited slips, A-TRAC) are recommended but not required.

Details
This is a beautiful trail system! We will ascend 4,096 ft to a maximum height of 8,255 ft with sweeping views of Reno, North Valley, and the Eastern Sierra-Nevada range. Tons of photo opportunities, a few water crossings, and a couple of challenges along the way. We drive through desert terrain, aspen copses, and pine forests.
You can opt-out of the trail at Verdi OHV if you have someplace else to be. The rest of us will climb Verdi to the Ranger tower for some more awesome views and we may drop down to Stampede and Boca for a dip in the water.
