As a bunch of forum members were likely notified today, all auto-renew subscriptions had to be cancelled and will need to be reset on the members end once your renewal comes up. The payment callback URL changed with the new software and the only means of correcting was to cancel them.

I've handled it on my end within Paypal.

Sorry for the hassle, but THANK YOU to all the members who were set up with auto-renew...I didn't realize there were that many (300+)!
 
Additionally, if your renewal went thru in the past 4-5 days and you notice that your upgrade isn't active on the forum, please message me and I'll chase down the issue. I've got a handful of Paypal notifications to address, and should be digging thru those yet today.
 
Must have missed the heads up.
It appears that the Apple app has become nonfunctional as well. Anything need to be done with that issue.

I was just about to ask .. so, what we need to do now it's just restart the subscription with auto renewal option ..?
you'll get an email notice when the expiration date is getting close...should link you to the new Subscription page, and you can simply re-start with a new subscription.

I honestly don't know what would happen if your cancelled subscription off the old software had an expiration date of July 10 and you re-subscribed with this new software right now...unsure if it would be smart enough to know that it's an extension, or if it would reset the renewal date today...hmmm

Well I did not cancel my subscription in the old forum .. but I already add my new with the recurring option in this one just few mins ago .. we'll see how it works ..
 
Where is the current link for signups?


I got my reminder before the change but only today went to go use it. The link now no longer works.

I had a Silver Star membership but not an auto renew.
 
Ok , so at the bottom of that link my purchased upgrade expires 2/28/2016 . What do I need to do to get my status back ?

you'll receive an email shortly before the expiration date in 2016, with a link to the renewal page :) (make sure your email is correct!)

I re-entered password and can log on through internet but not with IPhone app. I get a not available message. I'm thinking back to my old military time and the saying, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it."
What are the improvements? Not a bitch, just curious. I know how troublesome bringing new software online can be at times. So far the two issues I have noted are poor advance notice and IOS app coordination. Notice issue could be my fault, could have missed it. If there were none, that was sloppy. Please let me know what is going on with the IOS app issue.

The APP is disabled...i has been buggy, and I've got enough other things to chase down without dealing with it.

Please use a mobile browser. This is a RESPONSIVE design, and will look great on your phone browser.

There was a BIG banner at the top of the old forum for a FULL WEEK to let members know the site would be down...and as as a SUPPORTING member, you were also notified TWO WEEKS prior to that regarding the test location and the ability to post questions there regarding the features and impending changes.

My apologies that 3 weeks notices wasn't sufficient.

You might try reading the sticky at the top of the new section listed at the top of the forums before commenting, many questions have been answered.
The third item is of special interest:
MOBILE APP: No, it doesn't work and no, it won't work for at least a couple weeks. On the list, but not a high priority. Your phone/tablet mobile browser will render the site very well tho, and I'm guessing most members will prefer that.


Woody the site looks and functions great on a mobile browser, better than the current app IMO. I'm deleting the app now as it is clearly superfluous.

I'm finding with the advent of HTML5 more and more sites look great no matter the screen size. I've deleted many a "official" app as websites modernize.

I was going to get the gold plan .. but something odd happen in the process it never show ( well to be honest I never check ) in the old forum so I forgot about that ..

I would happily let that cash on your side for a Gold subscription .. all to support MUD ..
 
My renewal just went in Feb 28th of this year , good until 2016 . I tried to go to "account upgrades" and there is no link now to even restart the subscription or upgrade it . Went to PayPal and no help there for restarting , either .
How do I get my Silver Star back ?

your Silver Star isn't gone :) I'm working on a 'extend' option. For the Subscription, you will HAVE to wait until your current star period ends, get the renewal in your email, then re-subscribe on your expiration day.

Sorry, there is just no other method right now.
